In a busy restaurant or cafe, your QR decals need to do more than just stick. They need to look sharp, handle regular cleaning, and keep doing the job day after day. That is why UV-DTF decals are a better option than standard vinyl stickers for tables, windows, counters, and other high-use areas.
Vinyl stickers can work for basic jobs, but in hospitality they often start to look tired pretty quickly. Edges can lift, surfaces can mark, and after enough wiping and daily wear, they can lose that clean professional look. UV-DTF decals give you a much better finish. They look more premium, hold up better, and suit venues that want their branding and QR display to look tidy and well presented.
They are also ideal for restaurant use because they work well on smooth hard surfaces like glass, sealed timber, acrylic, metal, and plastic. That makes them perfect for table QR codes, front windows, entry doors, counter displays, and pickup points.
The big advantage is that they help your venue look more polished while standing up to a tougher environment. If customers are scanning your QR code to leave a review, follow your socials, or access your menu, the decal needs to stay clear, readable, and properly stuck in place. UV-DTF gives you a better chance of that over the long run.
How to Video
Make sure the surface is clean and completely dry before you start. Remove any dust, grease, moisture, or cleaning residue, because even a small amount can affect adhesion.
Choose the position carefully before applying. Once the decal sticks, repositioning can be difficult, so it is best to line it up properly first.
Peel the backing slowly and keep the decal flat as you place it onto the surface. Start from one side and apply it gradually rather than dropping it on all at once.
Use firm, even pressure across the whole decal. A squeegee or similar flat tool works best, but you can also use your fingers to press it down carefully and remove any air pockets.
Once applied, rub over the full design well, especially around the edges and fine details. This helps transfer everything properly onto the surface.
Peel away the top carrier film slowly and evenly. If any part lifts, stop, press it back down firmly, and try again more slowly.
For best results, avoid heavy cleaning or moisture on the decal straight after application. Giving it time to settle properly will help it bond better.
